Dael studied art and photography at the Queensland College of Art and now tells stories through moving images, writing and directing films both for art and for commerce. His photographic works have mostly been about an observation of the world and the intersection of nature and the built environment, through a twisted lens. The way we remember a landscape or a moment is usually completely different to how we interacted with it when we were actually there.
Dael has received various awards such as Gold at New York Festival, Kodak Young Director of the Year, Sony World Photo Competition Finalist and Gold San Francisco International Photography Awards. He has also shown throughout galleries in Sydney, Australia.
Dael lives and works in Brooklyn NY when not exploring all the world has for him to capture.
