We first found Ai Campbell at Gowanus Open Studios 2013 - almost two years ago! Since then we've been falling in love with her work every single day - we sold a piece from her at our very first Fiercely Curious pop-up gallery show, featured her work numerous times and throughout all of this Ai has been a fierce supporter of us, our shows and our energy.
So we couldn't be happier to tell you about a new solo show for Ai Campbell in (where else?) Gowanus!
This upcoming show for Ai focuses on her new body of work in black and white on floating orbs. The intricate fluidity and serenity of Ai's work warp onto the surface of these orbs creating a magnificent pairing of infinite detail with the infinite dimensionality of the sphere.
These orbs will be on display in a variety of shapes and patterns creating a mesmerizing effect - continuing her aesthetic of monochrome black and white, each individual piece and the display as a unit will amplify positive negative space.
Each one of these paintings is an intricate marvel and we are awed!
Opening reception:
6pm on Friday, July 10th
Littlefield, Brooklyn - 622 Degraw Street

Feast your eyes on these teaser images from Ai. Alongside her new series of orbs she will be showing new paintings.
