Today is a magical day - we're proud and excited to announce that we've been working away behind the scenes for quite some time now on custom artwork for a brand new Starbucks in Williamsburg that just opened! Two Fiercely Curious artists, Susan Weinthaler and Jake Wallace were selected to create custom art installations for this hot new Starbucks location on N7th St and Bedford Ave!
Go pay them a visit! (

Pursue by Susan Weinthaler
Susan's piece, titled PURSUE, is inspired by the novel
Moby Dick. We learned that the original Starbucks logo represents a siren and was based on
Moby Dick. Susan was happy to dive headfirst into this rich and vast novel and dissect it (at times, quite literally) for her latest creation. You may be familiar with Susan's infinitely flexible artwork on our site. She makes Bits, which are unique objects each outfitted with a magnet on the back creating an interactive system for manipulating artistic information when mounted together upon a steel canvas.
